BETTER BENI

BENI is our beloved knit jacket! It comes slightly cropped, with an O-shaped neckline and features a button line in the front. Because of the recycled Mohair BENI is extra fluffy and light. The yarn is made out of a mix of 50% Mohair and 50% Wool, perfect for cozy days.

50% recycled mohair // 50% recycled wool

Want to learn more about the materials we use? Head over to our materials site!

This item is made from a mohair and wool mix, which is super warm and a little delicate to take care of:

  • hand wash only
  • use wool detergent
  • no softener
  • iron on low temperature

By the way: Wool is wonderfully warming with the typical characterful feel, which becomes a little softer after washing. But wool does not need to be washed after every wear! It is often sufficient to air wool clothing for a few hours. This allows odors to disappear and moisture to evaporate.

Regular Fit. Our model Marta is 1,75m tall and wears size S.

BENI

1. design

Our founders Anna and Jula still do all of the design work themselves. They are mastering that challenge, despite living in two different countries. Luckily they're pros at long-distance teamwork.

So the design process is split between Hamburg and Dubai.

2. raw material

Due to our sustainability standard and values, we constantly try to find alternatives to virgin animal fibres, as the fibre extraction is often done with great suffering of animals. For this garment we only used fully recycled wool and no virgin wool fibers.

3. yarn production

No matter which fibers we are talking about, they have to be spun into a yarn for further production steps.

The yarn production takes place in Capalle, Italy.

4. garment production

The next step of our Supply Chain is to knit the yarn into a beautiful knit garment.

The piece is made in Marco de Canaveses, Portugal.

5. distribution

As some of you may remember, we used to do the shipping and warehouse management in our Headquarter in Hamburg by ourselves - yes, that was a lot of work!

Since 2020 we are working with our amazing logistics partner Livipur, which is located in Bad Homburg, Germany
