Quilted bag designed to be used both as a shoulder bag and as a messenger bag, thanks to its adjustable sliding knots. Its 100% recycled plastic fabric and soft quilting make it very light and pleasant to the touch. It has a large main compartment and a zipped pocket for small or essential items. Magnetic closure.

Lefrik uses recycled polyester, which has been mechanically recycled. The resulting fabric is dyed under the OEKO TEX 100 standard, which guarantees that it is free from toxic chemical substances, and coated with TPE to make it water-repellent.

Dimensions: 35x46x14 cm
Weight: 160 gr
Capacity: 22,5 L

MADE FROM 22 PET BOTTLES

100% recycled polyester // 100% recyceltes Polyester

By recycling 1 ton of PET, Lefrik frees up space of 5.7 m2 of landfill. The water usage is reduced by 90% when producing
recycled polyester instead of virgin. RPET also requires 70% less energy than producing virgin polyester. 1 Kg of RPET (made from 100% post-consumer waste) avoids 60 plastic bottles from ending in landfills.

Lefrik products are designed to last practically intact over the years. Here we share some tips to make your product last as long as possible in the best conditions:

  • Remove dirt and stains with a small bristle brush or toothbrush along with mild soap and cold water
  • Work in circular motions, rubbing gently. Repeat if necessary. Rinse with cold water and air dry.
  • Can be put in the washing machine, always with cold water and a gentle cycle. If you decide to use this method, we recommend you use the Guppyffriend washing bag to prevent plastic microfibers from getting into the pipes and ending up in the waterways.

1. recycling process

Lefrik uses recycled polyester, which has been mechanically recycled. PET bottles are are sorted in a recycling plant and washed to remove impurities and non-plastic components such as labels. Once cleaned, the plastic bottles are ground into flakes and shredded into pellets for the manufacture of new products.
These pellets are melted again and spun into long fibers. The thread is wound onto spools, baled, and knitted into a new recycled polyester fabric. This fabric is dyed under the OEKO TEX 100 standard.

2. fabric production

Fabric production takes place in China with three different fabric suppliers. One supplier focuses on the production of various eco-friendly fabrics. They are certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Another recycling supplier is a dedicated manufacturer of dope dyed, recycled polyester textiles. The last manufacturer is certified as GRS and their fabrics are approved by Blue Sign.

3. manufacturing

The manufacturers are in Cambodia, Vietnam and China. The production facility in Cambodia is made for its employees. The factory

features 120 solar panels, a biodiesel generator, rainwater harvesting, canteen (serving up healthy lunches), and of course, plenty of greenery to cool the buildings. The Vietnamese supplier has been audited by The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI),that aims to monitor and assess workplace standards across the global supply chain. The China based manufacture is a bags supplier

specialized in eco-friendly materials since 2005. They are highly qualitied in green solutions in the industry.
