And the 3% goes to...
Who we are donating to:
Visions for Children
This rather small NGO is based in Hamburg and their focus lies on fighting illiteracy. Their vision is a world in which every child can read and write - and they do that by improving the conditions in schools in areas of the global south. As a non-profit organization, they build schools and enable children to have equal access to education and the chance for a self-determined future. To work out sustainable solutions for the entire region, they work exclusively with local partners and people. Currently, they are working in Uganda and Afghanistan, where they are in close contact with three primary schools. This is not the first time we partner up with the visions team and probably not the last. We're super happy to be able to support them again! Drip by Drip ist the world’s first NGO that tackles the water crisis of the fashion and textile industry. In Bangladesh most of the wastewater created by the fashion and textile factories is being released back into the natural water cycles without proper treatment, causing a "mass poisoning of an unprecedented scale" according to the WHO. To support the textile workers in Bangladesh that have been impacted double by Covid-19 and the order redemptions of the world’s fashion giants, they have launched the campaign #yearofgivingwater. Together with 100 brands, we want to install 12 water filters for the workers and their families – one filter per month, starting in July. They have three principles: 1. supporting natural water cycles 2. protecting equal water distribution and 3. minimizing the negative effects of our fashion consumption habits. This topic is super close to our heart - since we work in the fashion business, we know how dirty everything can get (not only the water, but whole supply chains). That needs to change and we are supporting drip by drip to make that change! If you want to know more, klick here: Drip by DripAmadeu Antonio
Named for Amadeu Antonio, one of the first death victims of racist violence after the German reunification 1990, the Amadeu Antonio Foundation works to fight and prevent right-wing extremism, racism, and anti-semitism. It does so by strengthening civil society and a democratic culture. Since its formation 1998, the foundation has funded more than 1.500 projects and campaigns all over Germany. But the Foundation goes beyond mere grant-making to assist projects in intensifying their local and grassroots work, and build networks and coalitions. It brings direct support to victims of hate-based violence, and engages with online hate and other forms of group-focused enmity online while promoting the development of a democratic digital civil society. We hope you can understand our decision and that you're happy to support the idea. At the end, let's do a little bit of maths. If you place an order for 100€, 3% are going to be donated. Quite a small amount for you but imagine how much it can be with the help of everyone and every single order. By the way: We are working on price transparency on our products to be even more transparent- So stay tuned!
