SMILLA! Trust us- you will love them instantly. The wide legs and high waist line make the pants super comfortable while still looking fashionable in every season and for literally every occasion. The pants are equipped with an elastic waistband to adapt to your body perfectly and it features two pockets in the front.

SMILLA is made of a super soft, light and flowy Tencel™ Lyocell rib fabric.

96% Lyocell (Tencel™) // 4% Elastan

SMILLA is made of Tencel™ Lyocell - supersoft and a bit delicate, so please handle with care:

  • gentle wash up to 30°C
  • mild detergent (without enzymes, no softener)
  • dry on a hanger

Lyocell items can shrink up to 4% by the first wash!

ECO ID

SMILLA

1. design

Our founders Anna and Jula still do all of the design work themselves. They are mastering that challenge, despite living in two different countries. Luckily they're pros at long-distance teamwork.

So the design process is split between Hamburg and Dubai.

2. raw material

TENCEL™ Lyocell is one of our favorite fibers, provided by the austrian Lenzing AG. This special kind of Lyocell is based on sustainably grown wood using a unique closed loop system which recovers and reuses the solvents used, minimizing the environmental impact of production. 
Wanna know more about the feel and characteristics of TENCEL™? We've got you covered. The production is in Austria. 

3. yarn production

No matter which fibers we are talking about, we have to make it into a yarn, before it gets its beautiful shape.The yarn production takes place in Linz, Austria.

4. fabric production

The next step of our Supply Chain is to knit the yarn into a fabric. 
The fabric production is located in Esposende, Portugal.

5. manufacturing

That's where all the magic happens!
Our manufacturers receive the patterns, fabrics, and other components like buttons or zippers and make them into a garment.

This piece is made in Portugal.

6. distribution 

As some of you may remember, we used to do the shipping and warehouse management in our Headquarter in Hamburg by ourselves - yes, that was a lot of work! 

Since 2020 we are working with our amazing logistics partner Livipur, which is located in Bad Homburg, Germany.
