In need of slow fashion inspiration?
... let's start with talking about our own wardrobe journeys!
English and German Version
There’s a whole lotta
fashion inspiration out in the world wide web. But
fair,
eco friendly and
slow fashion inspiration? Here it gets trickier. Especially when you are really just looking for some quick styling tipps without doing a whole lot of research on production processes and materials first. This is why we decided on sharing our personal research with you a little more often. Because, as you might have guessed already: Every single one of us making their way in the Fair Fashion industry is looking as desperately as you for consciously produced but also fashionable pieces to wear.
This is where I’m stepping in. May I introduce myself? I’m Anna, one of two faces behind the Hamburg based Slow Fashion Blogzine
Kunstkinder Mag which you may her been reading about on the JAN 'N JUNE Blog
here. Together with my partner in crime Esther I’ve been exploring the Eco and Fair Fashion scene for a while now, and naturally stumbled upon Anna and Jula and their oh-so-beautiful eco-conscious label JAN 'N JUNE as soon as they launched back in 2015. Scandinavian coolness and an eye for minimal yet chic aesthetics was something I was missing really badly at the beginning of my eco fashion journey… The happier I am, taking you now out for some fashion inspiration within the JAN 'N JUNE cosmos! Can you guess my
favorite four, already? <3
// Mode Inspiration?
May I introduce myself? <3
What's on our minds here in Hamburg right now?
You guessed right: Spring, and especially how to celebrate it’s start without really facing warmer weather yet. (At least the sun came out this week, yay!) The answer is actually quite easy when it comes to Eco Fashion: The most beautiful AW16/17 coats are now on sale (meaning: more affordable for students like me), so why not combine them with the first spring clothes hitting the stores right now? I guess I’ll always be an in-between-seasons girl, as I love mixing light with heavier fabrics and layering summer and winter clothes and sometimes even combining socks and sandals. Let's call it
Transitional Wardrobe. So, as spring ist just slowly coming in, here’s my personal tribute to the AW16/17 as well as the SS17 collection:
// Was uns Hamburgerinnen gerade kleiderästhetisch bewegt? Hier also meine persönliche Hommage an die Übergangsgarderobe:
- The blouse VOLUME is already my favorite of the SS17 collection. Just imagine the feel of the organic cotton poplin fabric...
- Another favorite New In is the pants FLO FLOW, which seem like the perfect wardrobe update to accompany more classically cut trousers.
- Let's make a careful transition: The AW16/17 coat ALAN is not only on sale right now – it's also the perfect companion to guide us through sunnier but still not-too-warm early spring days.
- Let's Accessorize! You may know Nina Kastens from last seasons Pop Up Shop in Hamburg already? I immediately fell in love with her Mini Tassel Earrings back then and still can't get them out of my head.
- When it comes to shoes, the eco fashion scene still has to grow (up) a little. But there's light: Sandra from Nine to Five, with whom Anna and Jula opened their first Pop Up Shop in Hamburg, has created the perfect pair of mules made from eco-tanned leather.
- I just recently stumbled upon a vegan pair of boots from Portugal based label Nae, which, for the first time, really caught my eye. Not only because of the look, but also because of the eco-conscious production.
- It's still just spring, babes – so don't forget the warm stuff for underneath! Find classic socks made from organic cotton at Minga Berlin.
