SUMMER OFFICE

Need business attire for warm days? The wide Bermuda shorts BENITO will help you out.
It has a zipper in the front and a button at the waistband. Of course it wouldn't be Bermuda shorts if the pleats would be missing. BENITO also features practical pockets in the front.

The mix of 68% recycled polyester, 29% EcoVero™ and 3% elastane makes the pants super comfy but also gives it a firm handle.

62% EcoVero™ // 36% recycled polyester / recyceltes Polyester // 2% elastane / Elastan

EcoVero™ is an alternative to viscose from Lenzing. The raw material is cellulose, which is obtained from renewable sources such as wood and pulp. Its production causes 50% less emissions and water pollution than conventional viscose. The wood comes from controlled cultivation in Europe and is FSC® and PEFCTM certified. Lenzing also offers full transparency of the supply chain so that the used raw materials can be traced. The material has a silky, shiny look and is comfortable to wear on the skin.

Want to learn more about the materials we use? Head over to our materials site!

This item is made of EcoVero™ - supersoft and a bit delicate, so please handle with care:

  • gentle wash up to 30°C
  • mild detergent (without enzymes, no softener)
  • use a washing bag to protect the garment from zippers (and other mean things) being in the same washing machine
  • dry on a hanger

EcoVero™ items can shrink up to 4% by the first wash!

BENITO

1. design

Our founders Anna and Jula still do all of the design work themselves. They are mastering that challenge, despite living in two different countries. Luckily they're pros at long-distance teamwork.

So the design process is split between Hamburg and Dubai.

2. raw material
This is a deadstock woven fabric made from recycled polyester. Most often recycled polyester is made out of industrial waste or post-consumer plastics like PET bottles.
The products had been grinded, melted and afterwards extruded into new fibers. The recycled fibers are made in Gujarat, India. The austrian fiber supplier Lenzing AG has a sustainable take on viscose, based on renewable wood from certified sources. The EcoVero™  for this piece of clothing was produced in Austria.

3. yarn production

No matter which fibers we are talking about, they have to be spun into a yarn for further production steps.

The yarn production takes place in information coming soon.

4. fabric production

The next step of our Supply Chain is to knit the yarn into a fabric.
The fabric production is located in information coming soon.

5. manufacturing

That's where all the magic happens!
Our manufacturers receive the patterns, fabrics, and other components like buttons or zippers and make them into a garment.

This piece is made in Wroclaw, Poland.

6. distribution

As some of you may remember, we used to do the shipping and warehouse management in our Headquarter in Hamburg by ourselves - yes, that was a lot of work!

Since 2020 we are working with our amazing logistics partner Livipur, which is located in Bad Homburg, Germany
